No Commercial Potential was a solo exhibition held at Stew Gallery, Norwich - 15-19 June 2011.
Supported by Norfolk County Council.

No brochure, no prices, no titles.

New works created specifically for this exhibition question the idea of what a

painting is and develops the idea of an interface between painting and sculpture.

The exhibition also addressed the ideas of deconstruction and the found or accidental mark.

Pomeroy's work .................... breaks from the linear aspect of the flat surface of painting

to explore the spacial reality beyond vertical surfaces.

A great exhibition - bulging with potential.

A triptych made of 8x2 foot panels.  Painted in one session.  They lean against the wall and the third panel is broken.

Three fragments mounted on "stilts" and leaned against the wall.

Earlier paintings destroyed and re-assembled.

A third destroyed and re-assembled piece.

Three tee shirts that were used as working shirts with found marks highlighted by the use of recycled stretchers.

A piece of painted canvas pierced and gouged and then folded to create a hanging sculpture.

Made specially for this exhibition.  The remnants of the dripped lines was collected on a piece of paper and included as part of the sculpture.
