These new works are created by deconstructing some earlier paintings. The process involved using a post card sized template (15x10.5 cm) in a portrait orientation. Please be aware that, depending on the devise you are using, the images may appear larger than they are in reality.
Each piece is a new work arising out of re-seeing the detail of the earlier painting. The marks in these pieces could only be made by working on a larger scale. This process can only be repeated using my earlier paintings which were made with integrity at a specific moment in time. They are fragments, and like archaeological artifacts, literally only give part of the picture and may lead to speculation about the totality of the original. Only I know the size and composition of the original painting. These are unique, one off pieces and are limited in number. Below is a selection of the 102 pieces that currently exist.
These pieces are currently being offered £120 mounted on canvass board in a black frame.
